I do. We have a close knit team in a big corporation and I’m learning valuable skills and knowledge that will help me in a promotion or another company.

I sell items on Poshmark here and there.

Maybe $50/month


Do you budget on a consistent basis? If so, please explain how you currently budget:

Not much of a budget. I know what our monthly expenses are which paychecks those get paid out of. We put a small amount in savings and then keep about $100 misc cash. The rest goes toward paying off debts.

I have a personal loan that’s down to $12,000 and a car loan that has $2,500 left

I stopped contributing earlier this year to put that towards debt but I had $6k when I stopped.


What does an ideal retirement look like for you?

Comfortable. Nothing extravagant, but we can afford nice things and trips.


What’s your biggest purchase of 2020 so far?

$2,000 worth of car repairs in February

My car


What do you spend money on that brings you joy? Or, what do you tend to splurge on?

I splurge on skincare. I would get a second job if I had to to afford my skincare.


What are your short term money goals, if any? ( < 1 year)

My goal is to have my car and all credit cards paid off in a year – and we’re on track to do just that 🙂


What are your long term money goals, if any? ( > 1 year)

Start heavily investing in retirement (401k and Roth IRA) and pay off student loans and personal loan.


What is your #1 financial concern right now?

Credit card debts. They gotta go.


What financial victory/success are you most proud of?

Since really getting serious about being debt free last month, we’ve paid off 2 credit cards and a medical bill 🙂


Anything we didn’t ask about you that you want to include?

My gracious husband is helping me pay off my debt. He’s an angel. I would be much farther behind my goals if he wasn’t helping me.
