Yes. I live in a small town & love it here!

I’m married. Almost 6 months!

If you are in a relationship / married, do you and your partner have joint or separate finances?

No kids yet.

Do you find it easy or hard to make friends?

It can be difficult to make truly meaningful friendships.

Do you have any hobbies? Please explain.

My hobby is blogging! 🙂 I have a passion for all things personal finance and decided to start sharing this via my website,

Has Covid-19 impacted you financially in any way?

About how much do you spend on groceries each week?

My husband and I spend a combined total of about $100 on groceries each week.

Office Secretary

If you are currently employed, do you like your job? Why or why not?

Not quite answering this question yes or no but, I’m ready to be a full time blogger/content creator. Personal finance is something I’m truly passionate about and I’d love to help others learn and grow financially as well!

What is your yearly salary (or approximate yearly compensation) for your current occupation?

Do you have a second job or side hustle? If Yes, please explain.

I’ve had many side hustles over the years. A few have been waitressing, tutoring, and bookkeeping. My husband and I are currently invested in multiple rental properties, which can kind of be thought of as a side hustle I suppose.

While we’re not completely debt free, we’ve invested heavily in real estate and have paid off about $500,000 (or half) of our portfolio! We were able to accomplish this by saving aggressively and living well below our means.

If you do have debt, what kinds of debt (i.e. credit cards, student loans, car) and how much debt do you have?

We don’t have any consumer debt such as credit cards, student loans, or car loans. We do have a personal mortgage on our home and also a mortgage on one of our rental properties. Total of the mortgage loans is is $474,000.

What’s been your favorite purchase of 2021 so far?

Our new home 🙂

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self? (Doesn’t have to be money-related)

I’d love to tell my younger self to practice patience when it comes to finance. Building up your net worth takes time!

What are your money goals, if any?

I’d love to reach financial independence! I’d love to be able to contribute to my family through my own ventures rather than being dependent on an employer.

What is your #1 financial concern right now?

My #1 financial concern right now is growing Hey You Finance to a point where it is able to replace the income from my day job.

What financial victory/success are you most proud of?

I paid off my first rental property at the age of 23!

What makes you imperfect?

I need to find the balance between saving aggressively and understanding that it’s okay to spend sometimes.
